Renewed in Waiting // Ruth 3 - Inspire weekly
In Ruth 3, we see Ruth's obedience to following Naomi's instruction and again her obedience in waiting for Boaz to redeem her. Being renewed often requires waiting, followed by an act of obedience, which we talk about this week.
Wrapping up our series on prayer, we look at the four aspects of the Church and how that plays out in our lives as we follow Jesus.
Challenge: Reflect on how your life currently reflects these areas as an individual, relationships and Church.
Looking at Colossians 4:2 and 1 Peter 5:8-9, we talk about the importance of being watchful in prayer and resisting tempation.
Challenge: Do you know what you are tempted by? How do you stand your ground? Be in prayer this week about it.
Are there certain areas you address in your prayer life or physical stances you must conform to? This week we view prayer from the lens of 1 Tim 2:1 and briefly discuss what that may entail.
+ If there is extra biblical things you have believed you must engage in to pray (i.e. kneeling, closing your eyes, folding your hands, reciting written prayer), try it without them, focusing on being in the presence of God rather than your stance.
Have you thought about your body as a temple of the living God? How does that affect your prayer life? A few things we talk about on this weeks Inspire Weekly.
+Take time this week to be still, quiet your thoughts and pray.
